There is limited availability in San Diego, so many are looking outside the city to places such as Carlsbad, Encinitas, Del Mar, and Escondido. With homes in the million dollar home enclaves unavailable, they must look to other mid-priced level neighborhoods to build their home. That's created speculation on properties in these neighborhoods, diving up the real estate values in those neighborhoods.
